It’s True What they Say about Good Impressions…

First impressions matter. There is no doubt about that. I can myself think of times when people or places or businesses had disappointed me. Do you think I ever went back there or ever talked to those people who gave me a bad first impression? Maybe if I had to and maybe we still became friends or associates if there was some apology, but still a first impression can be hard to shake.

This is true in business and in personal endeavors. You always have to be careful what you say and be careful how you present yourself.

Good selling on the road starts with planning an effective trade show design.

Running a business is more than just about running a website. You are involved with real people and this is one advantage of offline marketing versus online marketing. In the process of creating a brand that people remember, realize that the image you portray matters. With that in mind, you should take careful thought to choosing the color schemes and graphics of your trade show booths when you host them. Keep this in mind whether or not you are in your home town or setting up shop hundreds of miles away. Read More…

If you want to establish your brand locally and not just online, Las Vegas is one preferred location for trade show exhibits. However, it doesn’t matter where your main business resides, as long as you know how to make your mark known in your city or town. Times are changing and the Internet is becoming more local, however, you still need to not be afraid to put yourself out there. Be noticed!

Just Another Business Day

Hi, my first name is Lisa and I’ve been asked to post in the journal section of The Growing Entrepreneur. Today is just another business day. As usual, I’d like to get to my own Internet marketing projects but I am swamped with client work. Well, at least I will be able to buy bread and milk this week.

Still, I decided to take time out to just relax and share. I hope to share here once in awhile, maybe once every week or two at least. I hope when work clears up I can post even more often than that as I would eventually like to be able to post every day.
Now, I think I will go take a short power nap. Then, it’s off to work I go…

Internet Running out of Space? (Actually, This is Old News, My Bad!)

Can  you believe it? I can hardly believe it myself. The Internet is actually running out of space? That is, the number of unique ips is going down and there is talk of us having to share them. I don’t want to share my ip address any more than I would want to share my phone line. I hope that something can be done about this, as I know a new technology

Wait a second, I suppose I should do a quick check to find an update concerning this…

IPv6 is now being implemented after IPv4 has been set in place. All I know is that yesterday on the Google home page was the first I heard that the Internet was running (or already ran out of) space. I was shocked and amazed, because I always had this idea that space-even cyber space-is infinite. It makes me wonder…

Spammers are Ruining it for Everyone!

I’m in the middle of some internet marketing projects and I have to vent. Right now all I want to say is that spammers are ruining it for everyone.

Because of them less and less forum owners are seeming to allow links in signatures. This was not the case a few years back-not as far as I know.

Signing onto a forum to which you would regularly interact seemed to be a legitimate form of business networking. At least this was the case at one time.

Now because of ignorant spammers who have nothing better to do than to post annoying promotions, we all suffer. Nowadays, fewer forum masters are even allowing even one lousy link in a signature. It’s madness I tell you!

I also blame it on commercialism. It seems in the internet marketing world like it’s every man or woman for him or herself. Still, I mostly blame the strict rules of some forum owners on spammers.

Legitimate Forum Interaction

Forums are meant for personal interaction. The contributors of posts are usually expected to add something valuable to the conversation. If spammers knew that more money could be made by doing this than abusing the forums by dumping countless adds in inappropriate and irrelevant places, we would all be better off as internet marketers! Make it stop! spammers, just stop!
