You probably heard that people often give up right before their next breakthrough. When life seems the toughest, right after that might be your hugest victory. Keep up the good work and don’t lose faith. There’s a reason you’re doing what you’re doing, and if you want to fulfill your destiny, you can’t give up now!
The Growing Entrepreneur knows you need encouragement from time to time. After all, life does not come easy. Running a business presents many challenges. For instance, many people assume you, a growing entrepreneur, does whatever you wants all the time. Right now, this quote encourages you to be a leader and not a follower. That’s how you can realize our true potential. Chart your own path for your life. It will bring you the most success according to what accomplishment means to you.
I’ll be the first to tell you I’ve done plenty wrong in my life. However, I also know it’s never late to turn my life around, and I would say the same for everyone else. In the process, I want to do more of the right thing again, just because it is the right thing to do. I encourage everyone else to do the same.
Running a Business with a Conscience
Business owners face dilemmas every day, especially when struggling financially. They might feel a bit desperate and tempted to take on work that otherwise does not match up with their moral or ethical beliefs. However, they must ask themselves whether or not they will regret it later. Is it really worth it?
Should business owners decide to pursue a particular market just because they’re desperate to make money?
This answer lies within each individual. Some people choose to compromise during tough times, such as during a recession or right after the holiday season. However, we all have to ask ourselves where in the end it will lead us? Doing what we don’t even believe in causes us to not believe in ourselves, and at that point, no one else will believe in us either. We have to have faith we can make it without succumbing to moral degradation – neither in business nor in our personal lives.
Do you have the Monday blues? Do you hate your job and wish you could go into business for yourself? If so, dare to dream!
Here’s one more quote for the growing entrepreneur as well as the wannabe business owner:
Kick those Monday blues! This inspiration should get you through to at least “hump day.” But seriously, if you can’t cheer up by Wednesday, then maybe you should either take Thursday off to look for new work, sleep all day, or go out to the club and dance off your stress!
I pondered whether or not to include this on a business blog. I almost put this on one of my personal ones. However, the kind of work I do blends my personal like with my professional life. This to me speaks of trials I’ve been through during which I cried, “Why God! Why?!” I don’t have all the answers, but this piece really speaks out to me.
I don’t fully grasp the meaning of it yet. However, like the poetry I read in college, my subconscious reacts before I even have time to decipher it. I at least know this quote has something to do with appreciating freedom after having been imprisoned. I took this to mean an emotional bondage, but it could apply to any situations after which you broke free.
The growing entrepreneur exists to help people not give up as a an online marketer. We also try to keep traditional business people inspired as well. I found some quotes that mean something to me, and I hope they speak to you at just the right time. Hopefully this will help you find some inspiration this Monday and that you get out of your beginning-of-the-week blues!
I plan to share this once a week for the next three Mondays at least. I hope by then I’ll have time to gather some new inspirational sayings to post here in the future. Of course, some of you may still be celebrating Christmas vacation. Still, you need to mentally prepare yourself for the new challenges that await you this coming year.
So here’s this week’s quote:
This one tells me to not feel too bad about plans gone wrong. A new and better plan awaits me in the future. However, we also have to be careful to stay in the moment or we will miss the best opportunitiess. Do not take anyone or anything for granted when in business.
One of the best forms of inspiration presented to a growing entrepreneur is the Internet success story and biography of Jim Waltrip and Ryan Patterson. I was personally in awe at how little time it took these two high school friends to generate as huge of a profit as they had.
Jim Waltrip and Ryan Patterson founded All Web Leads in 2005. The basic function of this company is to sell “high-quality sales leads to top insurance companies,” as they indicate on their website. This company is based in Austin, Texas.
By 2007, All Web Leads employed 27 people. One of the reasons for the success of this online venture is the simplicity of the web form provided to visitors who sign up.
As of 2009, it is reported that All Web Leads generated 3.1 million completed questionnaires within one 18-month period alone. Within the year before, this company raked in $40 million in revenue. (Not bad for only being in business three years, right?!)
This is a 25% conversion rate. Most blog and website owners are lucky that anyone even clicks on a link, let alone fills out a form. All of us Internet marketers could learn from the high school buddies Waltrip and Patterson who created this operation.
Secrets to Their Success
They implemented their software development and website creation skills they acquired even while they were still in high school. They also knew what they wanted to accomplish.
Their main objective while creating this multi-million dollar operation was to build “an interactive marketing technology platform that could deliver the highest levels of service and satisfaction to both consumers and salespeople.”
Final Words of Inspiration
If you have a dream and a plan you can also experience the kind of success that Jim Waltrip and Ryan Patterson experienced. Having a few skills to help you implement your ideas also helps, but you can also market someone else’s website or products and still make millions.
John Reese is considered an Internet marketing pioneer. He was making money online before anyone knew what an affiliate marketer ever was.
He is known for his ability to dig under the surface to find new ways to make money. He was able to test and tract various promotional methods in order to implement new concepts and ideas.
Reese’s Ups, Downs, and Accomplishments
The value of one of John Reese’s website domains eventually reached $900 when he first sold it. The buyer of one of this man’s domains later then sold it for over a million dollars.
From this resale John Reese learned a very important lesson. He learned that it is much harder to try a totally new way to make money on the Internet versus trying to let other people show you were the opportunities are currently.
Still John Reese had to obviously start somewhere. One of his greatest accomplishments was him developing one of the first online autoresponder systems. This is a system by which automated e-mail marketing, mailing list creation, online order processing, and digital product delivery can be achieved.
Mr. Reese had also created a free photo hosting service for eBay users back in 1998-which was way before the use of the Internet became as popular as it is today.
However, his largest accomplishment probably is the one he achieved a few years ago. In 2004, Reese generated a revenue of over one million dollars after he launched an Internet marketing campaign for a new product. Shockingly, he had not even spent one penny on advertising for that product.
If anyone is an inspiration to the Internet Marketing world, it has to be John Reese. He still has more to teach the world.
This Original post has been moved to a more recent date. It’s about how I feel inspired by rages-to-riches success stories, and don’t want to give up. I believe this could be me some day.
All it takes to success is a little bit of support, and a little bit of self-love.
